Is Klaviyo Pricing Still Worth It For Shopify Stores?

Are you considering Klaviyo as your email marketing platform for your Shopify store? Do you need to know if the pricing is worth it?

First, let me point out that Klaviyo pricing relies on the number of contacts you have, and of course, the features you need.

Next, I can certainly say that the pricing you get will mostly depend on your budget, customer base, and marketing goals. That is what will impact your decision!

However, it’s worth noting that Klaviyo is tailored to the unique needs of your dropshipping business. Also, it offers a suite of advanced features that can drive revenue and increase customer engagement. 👇

Also, it has advanced segmentation capabilities, which allow you to create highly targeted campaigns. Plus, it integrates with Shopify and helps you seamlessly sync your dropship data to create campaigns that resonate with your audience.

And, of course, all this might be pricier, but in my opinion, it is worth the price because it definitely leads to ROI. What’s more, they also have e free option to choose from.

But, to give a clearer view, let’s discuss Klaviyo Pricing in-depth. 👇

Which Klaviyo Pricing Plan Should You Choose?

Klaviyo offers four pricing options:

  • Free – starting at $0/month
  • Email – starting at $20/month
  • Email & SMS – starting $35/month
  • Enterprise – If you have over 150,000 contacts, you can contact their team.

However, in this blog article, I will discuss the free, Email and Email & SMS plan. Let’s dive in!

1. Free Klaviyo Pricing Plan: Best For New Dropshipping Stores

If you’re a new dropshipper, Klaviyo’s free plan may be worth considering.  Let’s see what you get here. 👇

As we can see from the picture above, with the free plan, you can:

  • Create an account,
  • Import and sync your data
  • Customize templates and emails
  • 500 monthly email sends
  • Mobile push notifications (free beta)
  • 150 free monthly SMS/MMS credits
  • Applicable SMS carrier fees
  • Email support for the first 60 days

In addition, while access to 500 emails per month may not sound like a lot, it’s certainly not bad for a relatively new dropshipping brand

However, it’s important to note that if you reach the limit too early, you’ll be barred from sending emails for the rest of the month. So, you better make a good marketing strategy before starting.

When it comes to the 150 SMS and MMS credits, it’s essential to be strategic about how you use them. It’s worth noting that some countries don’t support MMS sends, which can impact your strategy.

Additionally, the number of credits required to send a message can vary depending on the recipient’s location. For example, it may take only one credit to reach a contact in the US, but it will take five credits to reach contacts in the UK.

Overall, if you’re a dropshipping beginner looking for a cost-effective email marketing solution, Klaviyo’s free plan is certainly worth considering. Just keep in mind some limitations.

Thus, you should know that this Klaviyo pricing plan is most suitable for 0-250 contacts. For instance, just try and set your contact number range to the next level, ex. 251-500. You can see that other pricing plans will appear.

Plus, after 60 days, there’s no email support or chat support.

2. Klaviyo’s Email pricing plan: Best For Growing Ecommerce Stores

Klaviyo’s Email plan is a sweet spot for mid-sized dropshipping businesses looking to scale their email marketing efforts without breaking the bank.

It may be pricier than other comparable plans. But, the robust features make it a solid investment for brands that already have their footing in the market.

With the Email plan, you can send up to 10 campaigns per month, giving you plenty of room to test different messages and strategies.

Plus, the plan includes access to campaign analytics and industry benchmarks, which can provide valuable insights as you fine-tune your approach.

Thus, here’s what you get with the Email pricing plan:

  • Up to 150,000 contacts supported
  • 5,000 monthly email sends
  • 150 free monthly SMS/MMS credits (at a max of 500 contacts)
  • Live email and chat support
  • Access to company benchmarks

So, the starting price point for this plan is $20/month. However, this only serves up to 500 contacts. However, if you have more than 500 contacts and you still want to use this pricing plan, you can upgrade. Also, the plan is available for max 150,000 contacts, and you need to pay $1,955/month. Also, you will get 1,500,000 email sends.

For example, let’s upgrade for 501-1000 contacts. Now, look at how the numbers changed. Now, you get to pay $30/ month, and you have 10,000 monthly email sends.👇

Also, keep in mind that additional SMS usage requires an add-on, and your 150 free credits may not be enough for larger contact lists.

Overall, Klaviyo’s Email plan is a solid option for brands that want a no-frills approach to email marketing. But if you need more advanced tools and support, it may be worth upgrading to Klaviyo’s higher-tier plans.

3. Klaviyo’s Email and SMS pricing plan: Decent for big brands

The Email and SMS plan from Klaviyo is a game-changer for companies that want to boost their customer service and marketing strategy. Thus, this is an excellent option for those in the middle of the SMB and enterprise phases.

The starting price for this plan is $35/month. Hence, what you get is 1,250 SMS and 5,000 emails for 251-500 contacts.

However, it’s important to note that there are limitations to consider.

While you can access all of Klaviyo’s features, including customer success managers and onboarding specialists, you’ll still pay for all your active profiles, so growing too quickly could come with a price tag.

More importantly,  the cost of SMS credits is separate from email costs, so it’s essential to keep track of the number of texts you’re sending to avoid getting hit with a hefty bill.

Thus, this means that the pricing changes based on the number of contacts and the number of SMS

For example, let’s change the contacts range to 1,001-1,500. As you can see, the pricing goes up to $60/month. 👇

But, if you change the number of SMS from 1,250 to 2,500, the price goes higher ($70/month). 👇

However, having both email and SMS marketing capabilities at your fingertips is a powerful tool that can help take your business to the next level. It’s a plan worth considering for companies that want to stay ahead of the curve.

Mailchimp vs Klaviyo Pricing

Mailchimp is an all-in-one email marketing and automation tool that can help take your brand to the next level. With millions of users worldwide, Mailchimp is the go-to solution for those seeking precision-targeted emails, expert insights, and a powerful marketing CRM.

Some of their features are:

  • Customized automation with Mailchimp’s Customer Journey Builder or from the collection of pre-built journeys.
  • Flexible templates and AI-generated custom designs
  • Advanced personalization and segments
  • Brand and content studio
  • A/B testing
  • Real-time reports and analytics

MailChimp offers four pricing plans, and one of them is FREE. Also, the pricing starts from 500 contacts, and as you go higher, your choices are lowered. Thus for more than 75,000 contacts you only have two pricing plans offered, and it starts from $550.

Compared to Klaviyo pricing, Mailchimp is cheaper. However, it does not include as many features as Klaviyo. And, in the dropshipping world, the one thing you don’t want to do is trade cheaper for lesser.

Thus, if SEO features are important to you choose Klaviyo. Also, Mailchimp does not include SMS.

Privy vs Klaviyo Pricing
